A Valentines remix of my 2023 HOPE whistle design. Just hoping to add a little love, hugs, and kisses.
I work with HOPE, a non-profit that 3D prints hands for kids. Every year we design a new whistle for our awareness campaign. This is a simple linear whistle that can spread the word and get a little attention.
It's designed to have a single color change to help the word stand out and still be easy to print. It can be scaled up and down to change the tone. The size I use, about 55mm, has what I would consider a mid-range tone. I would guess around 2000hz. It strikes a nice balance of being easily hearable and unique enough to draw attention. It's also nice balance of size being compact but not hard to find or handle. Also its nice because you can print so many in one plate that it's easy to generate a large amount to hand out.
