Keeps your washcloth on top of your kitchen faucet!
I like to put my washcloths up here to dry, but they're always slipping off. So I decided to make a little retainer nubbin thing to get in the way. I printed two to keep the washcloth from slipping off the front or back.
It doesn't need supports, it has nice chamfers, and the nice textured surface is the main visible surface.
Fitting and attaching:
- Light a candle or prepare another heat source next to your sink.
- Using pliers, hold the curved surface above the heat for a few seconds to soften it.
- Press it onto your faucet; the soft plastic will form the right shape.
- Let it cool.
- Using, um, some kind of glue? attach it to the faucet.
- (I tried hot glue. It seemed to work well, but after a week or so went by, I barely bumped the piece and it fell right off. I'll update this if I find a better method.)
- Update: I used a small drop of super glue, and it has held well. I haven't tried removing it yet, but I'm not looking forward to it.
Other methods may work just as well or better. If you have a tip, leave a comment!
