Hello, friends. My name is Rodrigo Escobar, and I designed this cover for commercial tubes out of a work necessity.
I’m sharing the file here as it’s my first time doing this, so if you have any suggestions, please feel free to let me know how I can improve it.
The purpose of this file is to create a support for a glass that will be placed in a fixed window, with laminated glass on the top, leaving the glass suspended in the air by 3 inches. Beneath the glass, people will simply hand their ID to the security personnel or receive documents through the window, which is made with commercial aluminum tubes.
I am using PETG for its durability in outdoor use, but if you intend to use it for an indoor window, I believe PLA could also be a suitable choice. Once the window is installed, I will add the photos here for reference.
