Introduction
You know what "happy birthday" means, but do you know what "happy pithday" means?
- It is well known that π is an infinite non-repeating decimal.
- Even with the help of high-performance computer technology, humanity has not been able to calculate the end of Pi.
- The latest world record for Pi is 100 trillion digits, computed by the Google Cloud system in 2022, taking 158 days.
So, I had an idea. If my birthday this year can be found in π, then my "happy birthday" can become "happy pithday"!
MATH VIVA!
- The default value of this model is based on the date I implemented this idea.
- The actual 3D printed effect is based on my friend's birthday date this year. He is passionate about math and hopes to like this gift.
You are welcome to try it too.
How to use?
- You need to know a date, which can be your birthday or your relatives and friends'.
- You need to check the position of this date in π on this website.https://www.pilookup.com
- Click the "custom" button on the current page to enter the custom page.
- Modify the "date_string" under "Date" to replace it with your birthday.
- Modify the "serial_number" under "Serial Number" to replace it with the query result.
- Then click the "Generate" button to preview.
- Click the "Download" button to download the model file for 3D printing.
How to customize?
First of all, the size I printed is used as a coaster.
If you want to make something else, such as coins or keychains, you can modify the size and layout yourself.
I provide properties for five categories: "Base", "Text", "π Logo", "Date", and "Serial Number" for you to adjust on your own.
Welcome to customize your model to celebrate your pithday!
Next….
I once envisioned designing it as a keychain, but there are too many styles to choose from.
If you are willing, you are welcome to create my model again, but don't forget to credit the creative source. Thank you.
I have been thinking hard for many days for this competition, and I hope you will like this inspiration. Also, thank you to my friend who likes math.
I hope he can use this coaster to have a drink while he is pondering math problems.
