I recently discovered Bambu's transparent pet-g and made this lamp to show off its beauty. This one was printed with Bambu's transparent petg in pink, and black Bambu Basic PLA. This doesn't have to be printed in pet-g- but if you use silk pla , the light wont shine thru on the lampshell part.
My lamp base fits inside the shell that I designed with Make My Vase.
You can also use my lamp base for your own creation! The bottom two sections on the design page need to be 104mm and the second one from the bottom needs to be at least 25mm straight up from the base line, or wider. If you make it less that 102mm before your design reaches 25mm tall the base wont fit it. You may also use Vase mode for a thinner shell but it would be very delicate.
After you download your design into the slicer- right click the model and hit center.
Then you must add a modifier to the plate- again right click and hit add negative part- select cylinder.
Now use the resize function in the slicer to relize the cylinder to 102mm.
Right click your modifier and hit center. Slice your design and now you will have an outer shell without a bottom.
This is the lamp assembly I use- it doesn't produce any heat. They come in a 2 pack or a 4 pack. I have two other designs that you can use with this inexpensive assembly.
