16.11.2024 Update
- As I had request for looser Holder to Wall Bracket fit because of printer tolerance specific (Creality one) I have done a Profile and STLs with quite a large tolerances (0.6mm). So if You face a problem fitting Holder to original brackets use ones in profile: “Increased Tolerance MB and HSW Mounting Brackets” or just Raw files in Folder: “Loose Wall Mounting Brackets”
2nd version of My Enclosed Spool Holder / Drybox
I got an Idea to build some kind of Enclosed MMS (Manual Material System) for my A1 and A1 Mini printers on Multiboard I have builded behind them. I'm using my Enclosed Spool Holders with them for a good while now and I'm very happy with. But there is one issue. It's ok for one, but if you are going to use 4 or more of them , they will take a lot's of space of Multiboard or HSW as You have to reserve space for opening Lid/Cover. So I decided to change concept and make ones with fully detachable cover using magnets. And yes this works very good. So here is what we have:
Assembling is quite Easy here (except of TPU covered Rollers) so I don't think You will have any problem. So speaking of TPU covered rollers please check description below. I Hope My given Part Lists are clear enough. In a case if You are not the one who want extra challenge or can't or don't want to print with TPU, here is other version of Rollers provided, easy to print and assemble. Just use some kind of electrical tape or something similar to give a better and softer grip if you want or leave as it is. For some 3rd party parts like Multiboard Snaps or Honeycomb Storage Wall (HSW) Inserts need here I will left links/instructions where to get them at the bottom of description here.

Hardware to be printed for mounting Spool Holder to the Multiboard
- For Multiboard mounting I Do recommend to use a Weight Bearing snaps
- In a case if You have to mount Spool holder on a offset snap, I have made a Peg Insert with a slot for Heatset (Multiboard_Peg_4_M4HeatInsert.stl). It can be found here in STL files and on a Plate 12 of Profile Provided. If this is one of top fitting I would recommend to secure it with a pinch of glue. Just for the case.
Hardware to be printed for mounting Spool Holder to the HSW
- For HSW Mounting you can use insert M4.step Insert. It can be found on Original HSW model page page made by rostap.
- If You want to use a Heatset instead of Bolt and Nut I have made a Insert with M4 Insert (HSW_Insert_4_M4HeatInsert.stl). It can be found here in STL files and on a Plate 13 of Profile Provided.
- In case if You have a Empty inserts where you want to put on mounting bracket, I have made a HSW Peg with M4 Heatset slot (HSW_Peg_4_M4HeatInsert.stl). It can be found here in STL files and on a Plate 13 of Profile Provided.

To Mount on Multiboard:
Small DIY Hack if You don't have Heat Inserts or don't want to use them here. You can use a M2 (or M2.5 not sure which fits better you need to try first) Heat Insert snap without Heat Insert. And use a M4 wood screw. Only advice here is to use all 8 for secure fit or for Top 2 holes drill holes in wall and use a Long screws and wall plugs to secure them Top 2 fittings. |

| If You choose a Windowed version You will need a 2mm (or less) Clear Acrylic or analogue sheet 90x100mm. I doubt You will find this exactly size to buy. I did use a 150x100x2mm ones and just cut 150mm side to 90mm with utility knife. | ![]() |
