Imperial Technical Manual — Field Assembly Protocol
Assembly order 66-B
Requisition — materials
⚙ Drill bit — 2.5mm thermal bore
⚙ Nylon filament — 2mm grade (line trimmer spec)
Directive 01 — fabrication spec
Print components as specified in the STL deployment files. No deviation from blueprint tolerances is authorised.
Directive 02 — bore calibration
Should the filament prove resistant within the arm conduits, deploy the 2.5mm thermal bore to widen the channel to regulation tolerances.
Directive 03 — retainer sequence
Critical: Thread the retainer onto the rod before bonding the rod to the base chassis. Failure to comply will require disassembly — an outcome the Emperor does not tolerate.
Directive 04 — filament routing
Route a single continuous loop of nylon through the assembly. Junction point must be centred at the mid-point of an arm. This is not a suggestion.
⚠ Directive 05 — rod length calibration
The rod exceeds standard length by a measurable margin. Reduce via abrasion and conduct repeated locking fit assessments before applying bonding compound. Field data confirms 0.75mm reduction achieves optimal engagement.
Field Directive A67-Alpha: Some rods are actually shorter by 0.5mm. In this case use a paper circle or two to bulk up the bottom of the hole.
