Introducing another accessory for the FNT Plates Holder!

TPU feet for better stability and grip. I'd rather print my own feet than run to the store and buy some.

I've prepared 3 different types of feet, each available in various sizes ranging from 8 mm to 35 mm in diameter. 

Types of Feet:

I've prepared 3 types of feet, available in various sizes ranging from 8 mm to 35 mm in diameter.:

• Flat bottom – Smooth, flat bottom surface.
• Textured bottom – With a ribbed/textured bottom surface.
• Textured bottom (printed inverted) – Textured bottom surface printed upside-down. This type requires the included fastening pin for installation. For certain materials and print surfaces, this inverted print orientation is more suitable, as it helps reduce the risk of the model detaching during printing.

Installation Instructions:

The feet are designed to fit into the 8 mm holes originally intended for magnets on the holder. The TPU feet have a diameter of 8.2 mm, meaning they need to be pressed firmly into the holes. Once inserted, they stay securely in place.

Because the fastening pin is slightly larger than the hole diameter, please note it may not function properly if printed with inflexible materials like PLA or PETG. For best results, we recommend using flexible materials (e.g., TPU).

Printing instructions

To make printing easier:

• Each print profile contains only one type of feet.
• Each print plate includes 4 pieces of feet, all of the same size and type.

Layer: 0.2,

Brim: yes / no (based on material and print plate)

Infill: 15%

Material: TPU / TPE / other flexible

Please use a material that provides sufficient grip after printing, ensuring that the holder stays firmly in place and doesn't slide—especially when placing it directly on the printer.

For example, TPU for AMS is relatively stiff, and while it works, it may not offer the best anti-slip performance. I also tested a cheap TPE material, which behaves more like rubber—it's soft and grips extremely well. However, it's very difficult to print with, as it tends to detach from the print bed frequently during printing.
