Four Player Chess

This is a four player version of the chess game, 

The board has been included in three different parts, 

the full board, half the board and quarter pieces

the half and quarter pieces have been made incase a bigger board is wanted than what your printer may be able to print with just the full board

red, green, blue and yellow coloured versions of the pawn, rook, knight, bishop, king and queen have also been included for the four players

Keep in mind that supports for the chess pieces have not been pre-made so auto-generated supports are recommended for the hanging parts of the pieces

If printing the half or quarter pieces of the board, glue or some other adhesive would be needed to connect them together if one solid board is wanted using those pieces

The rules for the game are the same except for the following:

• Players play in clockwise order
• pawns promote when reaching the 8th row from your side of the board, which is where the end of a normal 2 player board would be
• checkmate only occurs when the player being threatened plays their turn and chance to respond to the threat
• after checkmated that players pieces remain on the board, these pieces cannot move, check a king or pass a piece through them but can still be captured if you wish to occupy a space taken up by defeated players piece
• if a player is stalemated they are also removed from the game unless 2 players remain, then a draw between the 2 remaining players occurs
• enpassent is not allowed

• No strategizing with other players is permitted 

   

  if you're playing 2v2, the previous rules are the same except for the following:

   

• the player across from you is your teammate 
• you cannot take your teammates pieces or check their king 
• you can strategize with with your teammate if agreed upon by those playing
• a team wins once one player is checkmated (but you can play until both players are checkmated if preferred)
