Some teachers I know were a bit tired with the price of commercialy available alternatives so here is my design for independent work boards for children.
I created two versions:
- one for A6 sheets, compatible with all Bambu printers (180mm longest side of the board),
- and one for A5 sheets, compatible from the Bambu A1 model and above (242mm longest side of the board).
Each board includes 8 answer lines on the right side and 8 storage slots along the bottom.
Each print profile contains 1 main board and 8 pins. The 8 pins are are made unique on the board by having 4 different colors and for each color one with a black dot and one without :

Make sure your filament is well-dried before printing the pins, and that the flow rate is properly calibrated to ensure sufficient strength.
- Board printing temperature: 210 °C (to handle overhangs properly).
- Pin printing temperature: 220 °C (for better durability).
The pins are assembled by pressing them together.
Once the pins are securely fitted together, you can use pliers to lock them.
⚠️ Be careful not to press at an angle, as this may break a pin.

To insert the pins into the rail, slightly bend the board at the rail (right side) to create enough space for the thinner part of the pin to slide in. Repeat this for all 8 pins — your board is now ready to use! The first slides of the pins inside the rails might be rough as not all filaments are equals for steep overhangs but ater a few slides everything should be good to go.
I’ve included in the photos the spacing between the rails, to make it easier to design custom activity sheets for children.
If you have any feedback or special requests (for example, for different sheet sizes), I can create a custom version and upload it as an additional STL file.
There’s also an A4 version available as STL, but it cannot be printed on Bambu printers, including the H2D model (329mm longest side).
This is a personnal projet and I am still working on it to improve it so don't hesitate to leave a comment for me to know how to make it better !
EDIT 03/2026
The version with 10 and 12 pins is available for the A5 version, the print profile for the A5 version is updated to have all 3 plates.
The A6 version has been upgraded also with a 9 pin version, the maximum the plate can hold, it is also available inside the A6 print profile alonside the 8 pins.
