LED Spolight Housing

I created this 3D model focusing on durability and aesthetics, using ASA filament for its exceptional properties. ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate) is known for its weather resistance, UV stability, and mechanical strength, making it an ideal choice for functional and long-lasting 3D prints. After printing the model, I smoothed it using an acetone vapor bath, which enhances the surface finish, giving it a polished, professional look.
 

The lamp used in this project was carefully selected due to its sleek design and versatility. The specific model I chose, available on Amazon, offers a modern aesthetic with clean lines, which perfectly complements the smoothed ASA surface of the 3D print. To ensure a sturdy and elegant installation, I used a 12mm steel rod for mounting the lamp, with the electrical cable running discreetly through the rod.

This project was designed to be used in my tree house, where it needed to be durable and stylish. The combination of ASA’s resilience, the sleek design of the lamp, and the acetone smoothing process resulted in a functional and visually appealing product that fits seamlessly into the natural and cozy environment of the tree house.


 

In summary, the choice of ASA material, combined with acetone smoothing, the selected lamp, and the 12mm steel rod mounting, was driven by the desire to create a durable, visually appealing, and functional 3D model that enhances the ambiance of my tree house.
