This is a compact control case designed to hold an Arduino Nano and an L298N motor driver.

It works as a self contained module that can support two motors with encoders, along with additional servos, sensors, or other peripherals, giving you a clean and organized way to manage your electronics in one neat package.

I originally designed this for a ROS2 project I was working on. By installing the ros_arduino_bridge on the Nano, I was able to control the whole case modularly as an independent unit, which makes integration and wiring super easy.

Of course, today there are more advanced and modern setups available for motor control, like ESP32, SimpleFOC, or ODrive. This project is meant to be a budget friendly solution to make good use of those older components you might have lying around at home instead of throwing them away. I think the final result came out quite neat and keeps everything well protected!

It’s a very straightforward print and assembly. The design includes dedicated spots to melt in M2 brass inserts for the M2 screws, ensuring a strong, secure closure. Just make sure your printer is dialed in so the boards have a nice, snug fit inside the case.
