Instead of spending money on what is basically garbage, I made my own Christmas bonbons last year. This rubber band gun was my bonbon's toy component. The gun was made to be assembleable by my then 18-month-old kid and to disassemble so that it could fit within the cardboard tube. It's a manual-load, single fire setup in keeping with the minimalist motif. To keep the gun together, the trigger is inserted into the body from the underside first, followed by the handle. It's made to function with tiny rubber bands, size No. 14 (50x1.5 mm).
