Spinning Propeller Fridge Magnet

Easy to print fridge magnet with propeller theme. Great fun to watch it spinning.

Printing

Choose one of the provided color profiles by selecting the plate (one stripe/two stripes) or create your own by using the “height modifier” in the slicer. Use Print By Object to select the hub with the correct magnet size. Check size table below if unsure.

Hubs For Different Magnet Sizes

I´m providing the base/hub for different popular magnet sizes (use Print By Object). However I only had a 10mm x 2mm neodymium magnet for my tests, so I had to guess the tolerance for the other magnets. I left 0.1mm clearance and hope this works fine for all sizes. If it´s too loose you can still glue it. Otherwise let me know and I will fix the model. If you have smaller magnets with the same diameter you might be able to stack them. If you want me to provide other hubs for other magnets leave a comment.

Assembly

I recommend using glue for the props, otherwise they might fall off when spinning. The magnet should fit without glue. Press it against a flat surface to make it slide in. Use some oil (e.g. nano oil, sewing machine oil, …) if you want better spinning performance. I recommend applying this before assembly, but applying after assembly also works.
