Meet the H2O No-Go Cap, the latest addition to my hose utility series of designs. This 3D printed garden hose cap is your perfect companion for stopping water flow, testing for leaks, or sealing off an unused hose end.
Design: This practical cap features a garden hose fitting designed to securely seal the end of your hose. Whether you’re testing for leaks or just need to cap off an unused hose, the H2O No-Go Cap has got you covered. Comes in finger-friendly version (shown) and hybrid (flats) version for use with an adjustable wrench/pliers if required. 3MF and STEPs included.
Printing:
- Material: Printed here with durable ASA. PLA/PETG can work too.
- Layer height: Prints well at 0.16 or 0.12 layer height in ASA. For good threads, thinner layers are recommended. If you haven’t shrink-corrected your ASA printing profiles, you may need to enlarge the model to ~100.7%. Should fit just fine for PLA/PETG prints.
- Orientation: I recommend printing cap-side down on the bed.
Best used with either a printed TPU seal (model included) or a standard rubber hose seal (shown).
Printed in ASA @ 0.16 mm layer height with the threads pointing up.
