The Glorious Gaming Model D mice (and probably others from that manufacturer) feature a cutout around the USB-C input that accepts a unique grip attachment built into the plug on the provided cable. You can still plug in a standard 3rd-party USB-C cable into the mouse, but the custom grip seems designed to provides some extra strain relief for the circuit board, which you won't get with a standard cable end.
I modeled their USB-C plug end and then designed a similar customizable sliding adapter that fits over a typical USB-C plug so you can have the same benefits of their plug shape when using your own cables.
Customizing
Update 8/30/2025: Now supports customizing directly on Makerworld, no need to use Fusion. After saving a custom file:
- Open the exported file in your slicer.
- Right-click on the model and click “Split→To Objects” (if it wasn't already split when imported)
- Refer to the provided print profile for print settings.
